Rufus's emergency leg amputation

Rufus's incision opened up and he ended up back at the vet to have a drain put in and it re-stitched. There was a lot of bleeding and he became anemic. We are praying for him. And now we have even more vet bills to pay for this little guy. PLEASE HELP US!

Rufus is in bad shape, but with your help he will be ok. Rufus was hit by a car 4 months ago and then he ended up at the Gallatin County Shelter in Kentucky. A shelter volunteer felt bad for him and took him home with her. She loved him and named him Rufus, and he became a temporary part of her family, but unfortunately for Rufus she never got him the vet care he needed. We saw him on Sunday February 21st and immediately realized he urgently needed medical attention. We took him to the emergency vet, where he got x-rays and bloodwork. The bloodwork wasn't too bad, but the x-rays told the whole story. His pelvis was broken in at least 6 places, the femur broken in 2 places, the tibia in 1 place. And his ankle and knee were broken and fused backwards! On Monday February 22nd he is having surgery to amputate the leg, as it is infected, swollen and not able to be saved. We need help to pay for this surgery. Please help Rufus.
